the story behind emergency coffee
In 2001, Adam and Aaron found themselves laid off from their
corporate jobs. The job market didn't favor an immediate
return to work. While sitting around drinking coffee, they
decided to combine their love of extreme sports and caffeine.
Emergency Coffee was born.
Adam called his old friend Hanson, who had previously worked for Marvel Comics, even
drawn The Mutant Ninja Turtles and GI Joe comic books. Hanson
drew our Logo, and we were in business!
Adam and Aaron partnered with the perfect coffee roaster in Ouray, CO, and built this snazzy web site to offer their coffee online.
While working on another project, Adam met Robin, and brought
another coffee addict and fantastic art talent into the business.
And here we are - Emergency Coffee!
